‘Small Town’ Commended in Rosemary Dobson Prize

I just found out that my poem ‘Small Town’ was Commended in the Rosemary Dobson Prize for an unpublished poem. I’m very happy to hear this, and would like to thank the judges!

Here’s some more details from Jon Standhope’s website. Congratulations to the winner (of a very respectable $3000) Debbie Lim and the other commended and shortlisted entries; Andrew Slattery, Jillian Pattinson, Dan Disney, Jerri Kroll.

    • Thanks, Alec! Appreciate the extra feedback here ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m really pleased that ‘comes to rest’ is striking a chord with people, I was worried that it might be a little too slight at one stage
