HRAFF Short Story and Poetry Competition

The Human Rights Arts and Film Festival is holding a short story and poetry competition! HRAFF is after the most creative and moving short stories and poems for its 2010 Festival.

The winning entrants will be published in 30,000 Festival Programs to be distributed around Victoria and the winning poem shall be performed at the Festival Poetry Slam.

There is also over $1000 each in cash and prizes up for grabs!

If any one is a strong short story writer, you should enter this. It’s an amazing set of prizes, and first prize has an interesting twist.

Short Story Prize for stories of 1000-5000 words

  • First Prize £1500, or your own collection or novella published plus £500, and receive 75 books – the choice is yours!
  • Second Prize £300
  • Third Prize £150
  • Seven runners-up £25 each
  • The top ten stories will be published in an anthology, and each author will receive three copies.

Fee: £10 per online entry; posted cheques £11 per entry
